GTU Campus
Lekawada
The project consisted of creating a campus that by virtue of its design is geared toward creating majestic and sustainable architecture. Spaces on the campus are provided for teaching facilities, administrative facilities, library and lab buildings, hostel block, staff residence, amphitheater, indoor and outdoor sports area, community hall, swimming pool, outdoor seatings with a green cover, indoor arena, cafeteria, gymnasium, etc. The promenade is provided as the ‘central heart’ of the campus with perpendicularly placed blocks to minimize circulation. This in turn also creates shaded paths, and interactive spaces and optimizes climatic orientation. Considerations for the design jali facade are natural light and ventilation, solar heat gain, and exterior views. In the academic blocks, shading devices are provided to reduce heat gain, increase natural cooling and enhance the beauty of the overall structure.
Building typology is Institutional. Services offered in this project are Master Planning and Architecture design. The Status of the project is Competition.
